We miss the days of rolling and crawling. They were so relaxing compared to this stage! Gabe is pulling himself up on furniture now, well, I guess anything he can reach. he is getting better at balancing but sometimes he forgets that he can't walk, let's go of the furniture and try's to walk forward. He never gets more than one step in before he crashes to the floor. And, just like a boy, he usually smiles a big smile and crawls away.

We take alot of pictures at our house, most for no real reason at all. Doesn't the look on his face say it all?

The Aftermath of Speghetti

I've seen worse!

Well Gabe has learned to put food in his mouth. This of course doesn't apply to just food, no, actualy it is anything that is about the size of a pea. My floors are are no longer considered safe. I can vacuum and 3 seconds later he has managed to pick up a particle of something in each hand. And, with his new trick, he wants to hold everything that he is eating, whether it is a piece of dry cereal, or a glob of pudding, you can bet it will be all over everything before it makes it into his mouth, but when it finally does, he gets a proud smile on his face and try's again with another piece.

The Growing-Faster-Than-Ever Gabe

Well, Gabe is crawling now... technically. He knows how to crawl on hands and knees but prefers an army crawl because then he can hold a toy in each hand. He only crawled about a week though until he started pulling up on couches and tables... anything that would support him.. with a few bruises from the things that would not.
He is just over 9 months now and is pointing at everything he wants and shakes his head no at things he doesn't want. He is in the 25 percentile for weight and 95th for height... hmmm... sound like family genes or what??? His favorite toys are laundry baskets, remote controls, cell phones and Toby (though Toby is not so keen on him yet). He is skinny and tall so usually his clothes are baggy (bigger cause they're longer) and his head (slightly resembling a basket ball) gets thick hair and longer eyelashes daily!! He has 4 teeth now, 2 on top and 2 on bottom and he usually has his mouth open ready to recieve andy food you might and to slip in.
We love our Gabe!!!!

We saw Rick and Jenn (my brother) and the fam while in Cali. Gabe sure was a hit! The boys loved him and Caitlyn played "mommy" for a few hours. Colton loved to snuggle and watch tv with you!

Here we are in Las Vegas! Gabe is ready to try swimming for his first time!

Gabe loves suckers! I can get a good 20 minute of peace when he has one to entertain him!! After this "blue sucker" incident I quickly learned that pina colada (the clear ones) are much better flavor! :0)

That can't be comfortable!!

One day I was sitting on the couch while Gabe played on the floor and he was very quiet, I looked down at him and he had covered himself with his play mat and was very still. I said "Gabe..." and he giggled and kicked his feet really fast and paused again. i said "Gabe..." again and he did it again so I walked over and slowly pulled the mat off. He laughed and laughed and has been playing peek-a-boo ever since!

Gabe has just about mastered crawling and is already starting on standing. He loves when Daddy helps him pull up on the couch and he tries to stand by himself. What a big boy!!

Gabe has recently discovered water. Bath's were fun before, but now he slowly swooshes the water though his fingers and then all of the sudden... SPLASH! SPLASH! SPLASH! He loves his bath time now!

Well, as you can see from our pictures, we shaved Gabe's head. Well, actually this is the third time we have done it. It took a long time for Hector to convince me that Gabe would live without his beautiful baby locks, and I think that he looks adorable... kind of like a little army man. Cute Dude!

Can't get enough of him!

Cutie Patootie!
